Dear friends,
Since our founding in 1978, the Kalaw Ledesma Foundation, Inc. (KLFI) has committed to safeguarding Purita Kalaw-Ledesma’s post-war collection of paintings, sculptures, art on paper, books, and scrapbooks on art and culture. Beyond guardianship, we also host public programs on art criticism, conservation, and research rooted in the vision of Purita Kalaw-Ledesma to bring together artists, writers, scholars, and the public at large.
We are proud of what we have accomplished so far, wholly funded by a small but dedicated group of donors. In order to sustain this vital work, we are inviting our friends and colleagues to continue supporting our initiatives through our donation program launched last year and detailed here:
The proceeds from this donation program have already helped KLFI in substantial ways. We were able to significantly subsidize our Art Criticism Writing Workshop open to aspiring art critics and writers last October 2025. We were also able to implement our long-delayed PKL Library cataloging project in partnership with Library-Bayanihan of the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Sciences.
We are grateful for your consideration and hope you can join us in sustaining our future initiatives that build on the legacy of our founder Purita Kalaw-Ledesma.
Wishing you inspiration and joy in the year ahead.
Warmest regards,
Anne Marie M. Ozaeta
President
