About the PKL Scrapbooks and the conservation work

Purita Kalaw-Ledesma was an arduous chronicler of events, activities, and writings on Philippine modern art. Since the founding of the AAP in 1948 until 2005, she was able to compile 83 scrapbooks containing clippings on art.

With the sponsorship of National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Kalaw-Ledesma Foundation was able to conserve the 10 volumes of PKL Scrapbooks (vols. 74-83) in 2018 and 2021. In 2024, additional five volumes (Vols. 69-73) will be applied with conservation treatment.

The conservation of the Purita Kalaw-Ledesma (PKL) Scrapbooks (Vols. 69-73) is made possible in part by the NCCA.
